For PK Cruiser,
If this is what you are looking for:
You have the right of choose to read, or not read, reply, or not reply to any post. My opinions are my own if you don't like them, you make the choice of how to respond.
This is for Kirby...

I have nothing against you my man, and I will NOT act like a child and start arguing on a Message Board. I agree with 9 out of 10 things you talk about, that isn't the issue. The issue is, until either MOPAR or whomever changes the way they do business, repeating it every time the stage upgrades, bov, and/or any other MOPAR product comes up is ridiculous. We all know & understand the issues, hell, we have been discussing/arguing them for over a month now. You have good points, and at one time seemed optimistic towards the Stage I. I'm not going to comment anymore on this, because I don't have a problem with you (or anyone else for that matter). No hard feelings, no toes stepped on, I am just frustrated is all...just wish we could all "get along" Here Kirby...have a beer on me[^]

PS…I’m waiting for Stage II….I just can’t bring myself to buy Stage I when Stage II is going to replace what was just replaced with the Stage I…seems to me that (and I’m coming from an aviation background) that “stage” upgrades build upon each other, not replace parts you just replaced with new parts (wow…said replace Way to many times)

According to Mopar's literature, Stage I creates an enhanced exhaust "note" on deceleration. [edit] This is only shown on the SRT-4 Stage I info. on Mopar's website. This item isn't listed on the PT Cruiser Stage I page so this may not apply to the PT.[/edit]

This "note" is caused by a purposely rich fuel mixture which allows unburnt gas to make it to the exhaust piping before detonation, causing this burble sound.

I'm not sure if this is good, bad, or indifferent to exhaust / catalytic parts, hopefully this is an OK thing. Who knows, maybe this is why they can't / won't smog it?

I believe on the srtforums board, comments have been made about "flames in the tailpipe" after Stage I installation.

None of this is first-hand info., as I don't have a Stage I to play with. It's all what I've gathered from messageboard postings. If this is unacceptable let me know and I'll stop posting second-hand information.

I would appreciate sharing one[^], I am not that mired down, but would also like to have some feedback on the reality of the PT S1. The SRT-4 folks have a LOT to say...both good and bad.

Just Keep It Real![?]

with a stage one then, since it runs richer, my car would be a flame machine!!! I'm already shooting flames! As it is, the car seems to be running a little rich, and therefore should be just right with higher boost...

Turbo,
I have a cut out where the cat. used to be with the stock mid pipe and a resonator where the muffler used to be. It is on the edge of loud and nice sounding. But with the side ex. open its LOUD!! only for track and Woodward cruzing! I also have the first page scaned for the S1 directions if anyone wants them. Give me your E-mail add. and I can send it to you. I will get the rest when I get my computer fixed.
Thanks

KERBEY,
The only problem I have run into is the fuel mileage has suffered. Other than that its all good! Got the instructions if you want them. Give me a PM and I will get them out.

-Maybe it's your age that you think that people will swallow a one sided assesment (even tthrift warned of trickey bolt angles

If you would reed the post I was trying to agree with him on the install.
You know, Its hard not to argue with you bud, but the fact is I may be young but I KNOW that I am more mature. I have more experience in my 22 years in the motorsports and automotive field than you will ever have in your life. That is a fact jack. How many IRL/CART engines have you rebuilt or even seen for that mater? How many Karting world/national/regional championships do you have? How many championship drivers have you worked for? I could go on but I think that is good. And also I am a PAYING customer of MOPAR PERF! I wish I got hand outs, but it dosent happen as often as you think. ALL my money goes into the car and I am proud of it because thats what I have to show for all MY hard work. I am done. Hope you are too. Just dont treat me like a kid, thats all I ask.

And PVO, how many IRL engines have you sent to the track with the coils installed backwards??? Indy 500 race engine none-the-less.

Sorry PVO, couldn't resist! [8D]
