Default 2003 Dream Cruiser A/C Problem

Hello I am new to the Forum. I just bought a 2003 Dream Cruiser. I need help with the A/C, its not working. It blows hot air. I tried to recharge it. I attached the freon to the left port, is this the wrong port, I only see one port. Still its not working. The second line has a rubber hose and no port on it. Please help

Welcome.
I've read there's a "trick" to get the refrigerant in - do a search on A/C and read up. The refrigerant won't get in unless compressor is running, and it has a low pressure switch that shuts off the compressor - you have to jump the low pressure switch.

do you know for sure that the refrigerant is low? there are other reasons besides low refrigerant for no cold air. bad switches, clogged condenser or evaporator, etc. verify no refrigerant BEFORE adding any, as overfilling will cause an overpressure situation and the compressor will shut off and youll be right back to square one. a trustworthy mechanic can check your pressures and tell you for sure.
