hrmmmm

it's all about bad publicity. organize a pt meet with all donations going towards your legal fees to fight the cause, and contact some media to be there and add to the hype.

its 3am, i'm brainstorming.........[:I]

Sounds like Dalite may be right. They should be checking the timing belt/chain and physical parts. It's possible that you could've gotten 3 bad sensors in a row, but I doubt it.

Have you tried more than one dealer? Sometimes a fresh set of eyes can figure a problem out whereas the former gets tunnel vision.

Guess who?

I don't know why everyone is so worried about the warranty. who cares! If something brakes fix it with a better part! Make it faster or look beter, whatever suits you. you guys are taking all the fun out of messing with your pt if all you are worried about is the warranty. Have fun and tinker. That is just my feelings

Boy Kirby, I wish I were in your shoes, money to burn shoes that is! Alot of people, myself included bought the Cruiser for its fun factor. We are the ones doing mods such as, chrome, decals, hanging dice and so on. We aren't gear heads, I am sure alot of us wish we were though. Warranty means alot when something breaks and we expect the dealer to fix it. In Bobs case I think it is time to bring in the big guns and get the lemon law going. We worry about the warranty but like you said, have some fun too. My .02

Sorry Bigdogdad, this post is a quote from someone else that thought that warranty = **ull$hit.

I would like to try to help Bob, and possibly help the next guy down the road with the same problem. I was roundly shouted down for mentioning that our warranty just might come in handy some day. I am truly sorry that Bob has this problem, but most experienced folks know that it is a numbers game just like the lotto.

I am sorry that he has a problem, but glad that the responsibility for making it right lies with the manifacturer. With no warranty and proprietary electronics Bob would be at the mercy of any dealership.

Kirby, you're talking about the issue with no warranty on Aftermarket Performance Parts, not a factory warranty.I think we all get your point, *again*, but this is apples and oranges and you know it.

How do you think that a frustrated service department would treat this problem if Mopar performance parts were installed, especially a "racing and off road only" PCM.

I think this is "exactly the issue"!

Assuming that problems such as Bob's will never occur in a S1 modified PT, or that DC will step up to help when they say in print as clearly as is humanly possible that they won't, is the issue.

My sarcasm stems from the promotion of responsibility killing options in the face of problems such as Bob's that have no good answers.
