MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor
There is also a TIP sensor (another presure sensor)

These guys are not cheap usu about $100 (slightly less)apiece and not reusable for the dealership if the problem isn't solved.

ok, yes it has both map and tip pressure sensores. How ever, the map sensor actually is mounted on the fender well or fire wall and a vaccum line runs from the manifold to it. The vacuum line relays presuure to it, tells the sensor how much vacuum or boost the engine is experencing. If it is bad, the computer will go into a limp mode, use look up tables, turn on the check light, and should limit boost. That is my guess, based on how the older eighties turbo chrysler / dodge were programmed.

As for the sensor on the manifold, where it splits from 1 to 4 runners, that is your charger air temp sensor. It tells how hot the boosted air is.
