OK Cal keep me posted. Unless you want to head down my way and lug your tools with you (I have basic tools don't know if that would be enough) we can definitely do it at my house.
It's gonna be tough having the kit for a week looking at it going [xx(] but it's cool, I've waited this long.

Getting a dyno shop on Sunday may be impossible, best bet might be a Friday run pre stage 1 then a return Monday post stage 1 install run, how would this work for you guys? (Is the trans/computer learning process also necessary?)
The 17th will work for me also (for wrench turning). |

Well I like to use air tools so prolly better to do it at my house.
Have you read through the install instructions? I did last night and you will need to bring new coolant (be sure to get the rigth stuff, the new coolants are not compatible with the old green stuff). It says drain the system but I think we can just lower the level some so we can disconnect the filler. No real reason to do the whole thing on a relatively new car unless you want to. I think I can provide everything we need in the way of tools. I will re-read the instructions again though to make sure I didn't miss anything.

R_K_GT, are you going to try to dyno it before and after? Powertrain Dynamics is in Huntington but I know they are not open on Sunday.

Well I'm off on Friday, I was thinking of going the Kirby route. Dyno Fri prior to install than again on Monday. There's a performance shop in the City of Industry, SP Engineering. I was gonna contact them and see if I'm able to get my car dyno'd Fri. They have a site www.sp-power.com. The site doesn't give too much info as far as doing dyno's for the public. They work on alot of Import projects. We'll see.

Also going out your way is not a problem for me. So what brand of coolant should I get? Didn't know there was a right and wrong type.

Not sure on the designation for the new coolants but I think they are pretty much available at parts stores. They are orangish in color. Maybe you should post a thread and ask some others for info to make sure. There may even be a thread already, you might search it.

The new supercoolant can be purchased directly fron Chrysler. It has a surfactant like the supercool additive that makes it much more efficient.
Looks like I'll be a scrub tech and camera man on this one if we do it in HB. |

Thanks Kirby!
OK I got an appointment at SP Engineering to dyno the GT on the 15th at 11:00, it's $85, does that price range sound right?

Yes, it's expensive, but that's about it here. Make sure that they throw in a before and after run...usually they sell the rack by the hour. One run will not take an hour.
Don't be afraid to sell the fact that our group will be using their shop's name on our report....good advertising all over the basin. How they treat you will be reflected in our writeup! |
