Default True story/oil change

My dealer is usually better than this. I also bring my mobile (Synthetic) oil with me, and they just charge me labor and filter. So I'm getting ready to leave after my oil change, (still in the lot) and I just happen to notice my oil is still on the floor of my front seat!!! YIPES! When I drove back around to show them, boy were they embarrassed. they had to change it again. Bet no one has ever had that happen before. GARY

Yea. Usually they take your oil and put it in a box in the back so you don't see it.
I would always ask to have the empty oil containers back, make your own excuse.
It's a shame that human nature is what it is.

And mark the continers to see if you get yours back.

My Brother worked at many dealers over several years. You would be very surprised at how many times people go to get oil changes, and other stuff, that never gets done. Many times the oil and filters are sold on the side for a little extra cash.Yet another reason I do my won.

For my first oil/filter change at 2500 miles I brought Mobil 1 with me. The dealer used and returned the container (5QT) with 1/4 of a quart in it and told me that the engine only takes 4 3/4 QTS. Checked the dipstick and it indicated full. Anybody else have a similar experience?

Changed to synthetic oil at my last oil change. Wanted to start using it a couple of oil changes ago but my wife said I was being extravagant. She went into the dealer for an oil change today for her '01 PT and guess what oil went in her PT? She told the dealer I would raz her because she is now using synthetic oil. I did a little bit but also told her she made a wise choice. [|)]

Giving my baby her first oil change this weekend. Going with AMSOIL (nice to have a rep right down the street). Glad hubby does all our oil changes...saves money and stress level!

Better document the oil changes hubby does, like when he did it, receipts, mileage, type of oil, filter, or your warranty could be affected.

Thanks for the advice, but every oil change, every tweak of every bolt is marked down in a file with the date, mileage, and what was done. My dad taught me well!
