Default Top Speed ?

Anyone know what the top speed is from the factory on the 'High Output' Turbo cars, and if it's drag limited or electronically limited?
I had mine up to 122 and let off of it, but it seemed like drag wasn't going to let it go much faster.

I've read there's a computer limiter that keeps us to roughly 120MPH. Supposedly this is because the stock ('H' rated) tires can handle 130MPH max.

I personally haven't gone beyond 110, yet.

Thanks!

Strangely enough, Car & Driver stated it as a Governor limited 120 MPH in this article from Oct. 2002:

I'll wait till I hit it one day hopefully.

I've hit roughly 127-129mph, both off the tach & the speedo. And from what I've read "drag limited".

According to DC top speed is 120mph although believe I read somewhere on this forum several months ago they got up to 125mph on Route 280 between San Jose--San Francisco, California.

well, i can tell you that i HAVE hit the electronic limiter and i thought i blew my motor!!!! When you aren't expecting it and you feel it kick you get that "somethings wrong" feeling in your gut... it kills the RPMs and slows in a bit of a hurry...it hit at around 180-190 Km/h

Weird... I've gone over 190+km/h a few times with no limiter issues. (not that I drive that way often) Hit the RPM limiter a few time while not paying attention on shifts. Not saying I'm right or anyones wrong though. Could be speedo error, or in the case of my Mazda P5 I could'nt go over 100mph EVER, although my friends could hit 110.

I tried mine once on a sunday morning 4:00 AM and once it reached 125ish the engine stalled, once it was less than 120, the engine came back to life...

I only had mine up to 115 on an empty highway at 2:30am, everything seemed fine and working properly with no difference than driving at 60, except the ground moving more quickly.
