I was just at a car show and met a lady with an 07 Turbo Vert. It's a Touring Edition and has 2.4 L Trubo on the right side of the hatch.
She said she had the High Output Turbo and the saleman told her to use Premium gas. I had my droughts and looked inside the gas door and on the inside dial where the fuel guage is. Nowhere did it say "Use Premium Fuel Only" Her window sticker and owners manual was at home and I told her to check to see if it said High Output anywhere on the paperwork. You owners that bought the PT with the HO engine, does it say anywhere to use Premium fuel only? The GT version says "GT" and comes with the HO engine but is there one that has 2.4L Turbo with "High Output" on a tag under that? Can you buy the HO engine without it being a GT? I think the lady is using Premium fuel and wasting her money. Thanks.

Does she have the normal auto tranny (turbo lite) or the autostick (HO GT)? A five speed is definitely a GT.

Forgot to ask or look as I didn't know that made a difference in weather it was an HO or not. Definitely not a 5 speed.

In the owners manual is states that Premium Fuel is Recommended not required. It also states that the care will perform better on Premium Fuel

The 180 hp turbo lite uses regular fuel. The GT should always use premium. If one is too cheap to use premium in a GT then they should have purchased a turbo lite because that is what a GT will drop down to in power and all of that extra money that was spent on the GT is wasted.

Crewzin,
My 2006 GT Vert, The Black Sheep, a HO autostick, has "Premium Fuel Recommended" on the inside of the swing arm that holds the fuel cap. If it says it there, I don't need to read the manual!

I recommend but do not required you to read the Owners manual.
