Default Loss of ABS & Traction Control

Has anyone had a sudden loss of their ABS and Traction control? Basically the failure lights have been on the dash for a week.

Yup.
Mine has developed an irritating habit... When it rains or there's slush, ABS & Trac craps out - just when I'd need them...
After it dries out a while, lights go out.

Each wheel has a sensing unit for the ABS/Traction control. A bare wire to the sensor, or a bad sensor insulation could be a problem when wet. When the unit is working spray, one at a time, each wheel (inside) with a hose to isolate the problem wheel.

I had this problem a month ago. My mechanic plugged his reader into the OBD port...it read bad right side abs sensor. The part and installation cost me $125. Good as new. Car is no fun in the snow without abs and traction control.
