As stated before, this does not void your warranty. The Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 prevents them from doing it.They cannot void your entire warranty simply because you installed a non-factory part. They must first prove that the part you installed caused the failure, and even then, they can only refuse to warranty the exact part that it effected, not the entire warranty.

You are too young to remember the days prior to the lemon laws, Ford had come out with a statement to the media about how Ford customers would always buy Ford no matter what, so they changed their built in vehicle life from 100,000mi to 50,000 mi(or there abouts), viola, Ford's customer base doubled since their customer would now have to buy a car so much earlier. The Wall Street Journal touted it as a stroke of financial genius. GM followed suit, and the long lines of customers with relatively new but non-functional cars outside of dealerships was catastrophic.
(e.g. One automatic transmission was set to wear out at 40,000 mi, no matter the treatment, and it could not be repaired.....viola, a new car buyer.)

Like the folks that survived the depression not trusting banks, so I have a built in aprehensiveness about the trustworthiness of major corporations. It's my failing.

Deep inside I know that Magnusson-Moss or no DC has enough money to prevail if they want to. It reminds me of every bad gambler who has a system to beat the house, but they never do.

I don't have the time or resources to fight the manufacturer. I have seen them "stonewall" customers so they can get a full retail repair out of it instead of "warranty time" if there is even the slightest hint of a way around it. 15 years in the warranty end of that business really disgusted me.

Phantom grip is a alturnitive for some peolpe that cant spend ($1000-$1300) on a quaife. Its a very good unit for the money you will send.
I aslo have on a phantom grip unit in my street car,and it's a
night and day differnce.

Phantom Grip serves two distinctive functions in your street or race vehicle. First, it functions as a disc-type limited slip in cornering and braking. Disc plates exert pressure against spider gears using spring pressure to regulate the amount of slippage at the wheels. Helping to accelerate earlier, while exiting corners at a higher speed.

Secondly, the Phantom Grip works as a locker in hard acceleration. The disc plates pivot, locking spiders, causing both wheels to exert equal power to the road, providing less torque steer than an ordinary differential. With over 120,000 miles of testing, there has been no significant wear of these plates. Although seemingly simple, the 'Phantom Grip design' offers as much maximum traction as other limited slips. The Phantom Grip is extremely strong and durable and comes with a Lifetime Warranty for breakage and manufacturer defects
