paper towels scratch
bird took a dump on my car, while it was still wet i used a paper towel to wipe it off, sure enough it left a swirl type scratch.

Yep, the fibers in the paper will scratch! By the way, if you've never owned a black vehicle, you're in for some fun! Every time someone farts near it, it'll get a scratch in that clearcoat, so you'll get some good arm muscles buffing, plus they only stay clean for about 5 minutes after you wash them.I will *never* own another black vehicle!
