timing belt BRAND???

Question timing belt BRAND???

i just called auto shop for a new timing belt they wanted to know what brand i wanted they all were fairly close in price and had lifetime replacement i was hoping someone reads this with like 100k on a replaced belt and they know what brand it was

Id think that as long as you get a good lifetime warranty the brand would really matter--also depending on where you live and what auto store you use would make a difference I know Gates is a pretty big name brand where i live

Gates, goodyear gatorback there pretty good.

i use a duralast belt from autozone because its was the only belt in town and i wasnt going to the dealer back in 05 when i changed my on my SRT. now they keep alot of belts instock everywhere. and im getting ready to do it again in 10k

FYI duralast is a reboxed dayco belt.
