OK, I got mine working!! It __IS__ the black wire with the stripe, and it ___IS__ the wire marked above in the picture as 12V constant. You do NOT use the wire marked above as ACCESSORY. The one part of my install that was incorrect was. YOU NEED THE PURPLE WIRE, and you NEED to run it to the either 1) the parking break or 2) A ground.

The best way is to use the same location as pictured above with the screws in the fuse box. ALSO, one thing that I haven't seen anywhere is you NEED the brain to be set to "B" on the switch that is either A or B.

-Good luck, peace and chicken grease!

Cool, Thanks for the info Man!

Im gonna switch to the Black and White wire tomorrow and take some updated pictures for this post. I just cant decide if I want to try and take the existing splice off, or just cut the wire and leave the splice on there (most likely what im gonna do).

I was wondering about the A-B Switch myself, Im running it on A right now and it didnt seem to be doing much. I will set it to B tomorrow.

Expect a updated post from me tomorrow on how it went.

Matt,

I took my splices off, and used electrical tape to secure the incorrectly spliced wires... It should be fine. In my opinion, that's better than leaving chopped wires.

Is Chipmunk's splices correct then? I dont see the black wire spliced.
There is an A/B switch on the back of your unit. Try to sflip the switch to see if that works.

Does your alarm still work with the turbo timer ???
Can you get out and lock the car and not worry about the alarm not working?? I need the alarm here. Some one broke into my 2002 purple to to try and borrow my dvd system out of it. they made a nice mess and only stoll the remote for the dvd/stero and some of the wifes smokes.

Don,

Maybe he will return your unit?

ACtually you need to install a relay so your alarm wont trigger or unlock the door locks once the car turns off. Also, some alarms have a wire that desensitises (SP?) the unit so it does not pick up movement. This is for those cars that have remote start. The relay will use that feature so the alarm wont trigger.

Also, if you want you can get this one alarm that has a built in turbo timer. I forgot the name of the unit though.

Question about the Blitz Fatt III TT. I hooked the tt up this evening and everything seems to be working properly. Car shuts down when it's supposed to and so forth. The only thing that I'm noticing is about 5 to 10 seconds into the shut off count down "a chime goes off and the air bag lite comes on" and stays on until the car shuts off. THe lite comes on normally upon ignition but goes out like it normally does, but the problem persists only during the TT count down. Is this supposed to be??? T

BTW- Great site. Just got my '04 GT 1.5 months ago.
