Default do these mods work? (airbox, brace, BOV, exhaust)

air box ( airraid on a turbo gt) what amount of hp gain would i see, and would i lose low end etc...

exhaust ( gt turbo), the factory exhaust is suppose to be a flow through design, what would i gain from installing an aftermarket exhaust? ( btg, borla etc...) and hp gains?

stage 1, hp gains on a stock gt? ( and does it efeect everyday driving, eg to work, highway use etc...)

strut tower brace (on a gt) would this be a worth while investment?

BOV (gt again) doesn't increase HP, so why do we need one?

does the ecu, need to be reset with each mod, or will it learn on it's own?

thanks
Punch has $1000 for mods : )

-you gain the most from an intake if it is turbo up, or in other words replaces that tube running from the turbo to the air box
-the GT exhaust IS restrictive. Finding a good 2.5" or 3" CAT BACK will get you HP. You get even more with both an intake and exhaust
-I'm not a big fan of stage one plus i have no experience with it
-any suspension mod on a PT is worthwhile
-BOV are to prevent back spin on the turbo and allow it to keep spinning between gears.

My K&N Typhoon intake is very effective maybe 10 hp and the sound is just amazing. You can hear turbo and bov and flutter on backoff!! If you rather have silence than power dont even try the intake. I modded my original box with very limited results! I would only put on an exhaust that is designed for the turbo and is tuned for street not strip. I am thinking about a Magnaflow system. Yes, a good suspension with Konis, sway bars, springs, and tower brace will work wonders along with better performance rubber and maybe even wider wheels. Just waiting for money to start stage 1 mods. Remember stage 2 will require a modded exhaust for optimal results!!
