First of all Hello, Name is Chris
I do not own a PT Cruiser but.............. I have a fleet of rigs, but my favortie rig is my 2004 Jeep Wrangler with 6.5" long arm lift and running 37" tires It has the 2.4L engine in it so I got the wild Idea of Turbo charging it. I used the PT turbo parts and turbo my Jeep.. ![]() You can read about it here and video's, but I have some question that I need help with. Build info: Turbocharged 2.4L Jeep TJ for me!!! - RENO4X4.COM Video's: Question: is there a remote oil filter with oil cooler kit out there? I have heard about a different Mass airflow senor that works better then stock? I have that cheap BOV on it but want something better but not big $$$, what is avaliable? I have some other question I will ask later.. THANKS!!!!!! |

Some times we check in here too.... any oil filter process can be made remote with a little fab work. looking at your jeep i can tell that is something you are used to. Different mass airflow sensor...not so much, are you thinking Manifold absolute pressure sensor (map) the standard one on PT GT and SRT-4 is a 2Bar and only allows the PCM to read 18PSI of boost. If you are looking to run higher boost than a 3Bar MAP and a 3Bar TIP can be purchased from any mopar dealer and will run you about $70 each. You can also bypass the TIP by switching thw wires at the sylinoid (pardon my spelling) which will not negatively effect your performance. Turbo replacement..... check out forward motion. The E1 and E2 are great stock turbo replacements that show gains of 60+/- WHP at the same boost PSI, they also match up to the stock manifold and do not require the use of larger injectors. I think i got it all.... or did i? Josh |
