Airraid Intake or AEM Short Ram Intake?

....I'm thinkin' that Mean Green would say.....
Ram intake looks "cool", but is pulling hot air from the engine compartment. AirRaid Intake systems give you a cold air box, pulling air from the wheel well.
Neither will be giving you any significant better performance...except...
I have a na 5-speed, and the AirRaid Intake system definately gives me a very quick pedal response; beside the nice growl!

Thanks for the input Frank. I was thinking the same way in regards to the pulling of hot air vs. cool air. Does the air raid system make much of a difference in terms of exhaust tone?

If you open up the intake past the airraid it will make more of a difference both in intake and exhaust sound, at least I found that to be so. The airbox to turbo pipe really chokes down to a small opening because of the sound reducer built in to it. Get or make a new pipe for this.

Answer: The AirRaid intake has a great "growl" at above 4K RPM! I love it so much, I'm sure my gas mileage is down significantly!

Definitely airraid. Anything to keep those intake temperatures down. AKA...the farther away from the motor and closer to the front you can get your intake...the better.
