Im going up to the muffler shop to get an exhaust made for me. It will last 2-3 years tops, because it isnt SS, but it'll get me by for now. I may switch rollpans and go duals one day.
If your exhaust isnt SS, I dont see much of a point in waiting and paying more than a couple hundred bucks. True, ATRs exhaust isnt turbo-back but it is SS [:I] Benefits of muffler shop. I pick the muffler I want, the size, the path it follows and it only costs me 2 bottles of Crown and a few extra bucks. Even those that dont know anybody, its still cheaper. Correct me if Im wrong BigDog, but didnt you say you got your gorgeous duals for $250? [:X]

Saki,
Thanks for the kind words. Actually the exhaust was $350.00 but I thought that was a fair price. The system as you said isn't SS but the two tips are. The tips alone were about a 1/3 of the price. |

Hector,
I would love either a 2.5" or 3" single system with a resonator/muffler (a must for our local recon laws) in the middle. The only concern I would have is if you could ship it out to Hawaii for less than the cost of the system itself. ![]() Aloha, Mark |

If 2.5" will support 400 HP why do we need more...my vote is for the 2.5" either using your existing single muffler or no muffler at all. I think we need the choice of being able to use the muffler. You are correct in that some of us are of "the older crowd" and have grown past the stage of making a lot of noise with minimal HP to back it up (read "fart-can" mentality). My Corvette is very loud but I don't drive it to work and don't have to worry about listening to the radio or "droan" at 125 MPH.
Also , most definetly, consider everything fitting with a 2" drop. I agree with whoever else it was that said most GT drivers will be concerned with the handling of their cars as well as the straight-line excelleration of the turbo. All factory GT's sit too high to be qualified as good handling cars...way too much body-roll around the corners. Deen

The rubber ones tend to expand and contract under boost and eventually will be come brittle from the high temps we run in the engine bay. Also when you run higher boost, there is a chance that they will pop off. Happened many times on my 94 supra. I will also be able to weld flanges on it for a blowoff valve.
