That's what forums are all about - taking tangents. My comments were just trying to put a little balance in the discussion. Saying that for the price difference any car is as good as any other car (or better) doesn't do it for me. I spent many years building one-off cars, and you couldn't build a similarly performing street- and emissions-legal car for anywhere near what a Viper costs. Give me an Sti (or PT), and sure - I could build you a car that could eventually compete, but it wouldn't really be the same car - by far. Maybe not everybody that reads the forums realizes this, but $80k isn't much money when it comes to going fast.

I absolutely agree with 3Bar!
The thing that so many of us like about the PT is: it is a builders car, lots of different parts to make each and every one's view of perfection unique. |
