Default Turbocharging my PT

I have an 01 PT Cruiser, and I want to turbocharge it, but parts PT specific are hard for me to find, so can I use parts for an 03-04 Neon SRT which are easier to find and put them on the cruiser? Then do i have to make any mechanical changes to the engine or the computer?

Mean Green gave you the link to PT CREW. Those guys are into turbo's big time and can tell you all there is to know.

There has been question here about using parts from a neon for the PT and I can tell you there are differences including the manifold plus other parts.

Here's one on the older threads, maybe it can answer your questions:

Turbo Install Question

OK, now I grasp how complicated its going to be. All I'm looking for is a little more pep in my step and an eco boost, maybe I should just go with one of those electric turbos. What do you think?

Sorry, don't know what an "electric turbo" is. It's not one of those gadgets they hype that supposedly turbo charges any car for $29.95 or like the Tornado that yo stick into the air intake is it?

Right. OK, if you believe that, go ahead. Throw in a throttle body spacer while your at it. They say that's another 10-15 hp you can add on the the electric turbo.

OK. How about this. I take out the engine and replace it with the 2.7L V-6 from a Chrysler Sebring. That outta clear up the performance and fuel economy problem. And I'll be the only one with a V-6 PT.
