Back from the "stealer". They replaced frozen window motor in drivers door. Check valve for rear washer on backorder. Took my free oil change today 1500 miles, will run this for 1500 more and go synth. Took all my chrome wheels in today. Got pissed the Service manager said he could not do anything until he talks to the rep. Hell all four wheels are pitted and flakeing all along the entire inside chrome. He started a song and dance about warrenty being the face only. I told him bull****, it is chrome platted, it is pulling off and is not right! He said he could not send them back without the Rep oking it as he felt Chrysler would reject the claim. This is total horse ****. Chrome is chrome, pitted and flakeing chrome, is pitted and flakeing chrome.

Hi all... I have a drivers seat that is squeeky and the back rest feels loose. Also, I also have two if not more wheels that are pitting or bubbling . The dealership knows about these issues and they say they will look after them . Other than that.......it's full steam ahead !!!

LAF,

I had all 4 rims replaced under warranty, no questions asked. My car was maybe 3 months old at the time. If that dealer won't take care of you I'm sure another one will.

I just dropped mycar at the dealer for it's first visit.I have done the oil changes myself, but had been saving up some warranty work.
I reported the following when I dropped it off:
-Power Steering whistle(I was told yesterday that the part,I'm assuming a rack & pinion unit, is on National backorder)-10/8 update: I am told this is on backorder and they do not have an ETA
-High-RPM miss - 10/8 update: Told that the PCM is on backorder with no ETA
-Very small amount of trans. fluid on the bottom-center bolt on the diff. cover.(I was told yesterday that this was from a leaking axle-seal and was replaced)
-Coolant leak on the back side of the engine (I was told yesterday that as I suspected, one of the cheap-o crimp-type clamps on one of the small coolant lines was not tight enough. It was replaced with a traditional-style clamp.)
-SIRIUS radio loses signal on hot sunny days. (I doubt they will get this one fixed, especially since the weather has cooled off and they likely cannot reproduce it.)

I do not forsee any problems getting any of this fixed. It's all either simple minor stuff, or things that have been well documented by others and/or has an existing TSB.

I'm driving the Shelby Dakota while it sits at the dealer.I told them to keep it until it's all done.I hate dropping a car off and then picking it up a couple of days later with them saying I have to bring it back for some reason.

What exactly happens with the "high RPM miss?" How do you know if it's happening?

PS - My only issue has been a non-functioning rear wiper. Soon I'll take it back to the dealer; just haven't had the time.

I took mine in for the following:

- Drivers side window was making a squeaking or binding noise
(Replaced Window Regulator)

- Oil light came on and chimed.
(Replaced Oil Pressure Sensor)

- Engine overheated
(Flashed Stock PCM)

- Steering wheel vibration
(Corrected Tire Air Pressure)

Was told to watch my tire pressure very closely with the stock
GT wheels. Mine dropped down to 15psi with-in a couple of weeks due to the temperature changes.

All fixed free of charge of course.[^]

I also have a problem with the sun roof. Have had it in the dealers at least five times since the begining of summer for this problem. They cleaned the track and said it was fine...NOT! Well in Sept. someone finally said it was the motor. One was ordered or so they said. It just so happens there isn't a sun roof motor in the whole country. They said the chip needed to be re programmed. The dealer had my car all day this past Friday. I checked it when I picked it up and It still did not work. Now the tech said there is a procedure they have to follow before they change out the motor. I asked why they did not do this in the first place and they did not have a answer. My husband told the manager they will give us a rental the next time I have to take it in to fix this on going problem.Because of this rotten customer service they lost a truck sale. We went to GMC and bought a new truck and I let them know this. Oh yeah they said it was my hand loition caused the steering wheel to wrinkle and bubble. It only took three months before they replaced it.They don't have a problem taking your money but once a manufacture problem arises forget it they don't want to deal with you.
