$$ FOR $$ BEST ADVICE YET!

Probably much easier to do also.
Please keep all concerned posted if you have a favorite LSD, and the good and bad experiences. (You had been talking about doing the LSD before, you probably will be the first to do it and put it under stress!)

The LSD and Downpipe are sleeper items also!

Increased friction from additional air molecules is translated into pressure and temperature. The increased air flow occurs before the turbo in order for the turbo to have more air to compress to create greater mass denisity. If you have a 15lb boost,it's 2x normal not 10. You need much more than that before the mass density of air developes noticeable viscosity parameters.
These days most port injection is also sequential so the injector fires only while the intake valve is open. The size of the injector orifices combined with the pressure applied to the fuel provides all of the atomization desired.
I tried to offer the most basic of explainations applicable to both turbo and NAs. Didn't get into different cam profiles, pressure revision waves due to valve action, or changes in flow rate, denisity, pressure, and temperature caused by the intercooler.

The magic of basic physics.

In a very long winded way you are saying that your opinion is that P&P doesnt work. Others may have a differing opinion.

As stated above, there may be other sleeper mods that are easier to do and cheaper. I personally like the stock-looking approach and wish knowyourturbo the best in his personal mods of his PT!!

NO... I said, "P&P should help the turbo as much as the NA."
Someone else had said that he heard it would help not turbos and I tried to state that it would do at least as much good AND say it in such a way as not to offend the other gentleman.
Short and simple: Any reduction of restrictions in an air flow path will be of the greatest benefit to the system with the greatest pressure differential.

Would this particular scenario be, say, a compressed charge as in a turbocharged engine?

The gain would be MARGINAL!! Have you looked at the inside of the intake before? Its not bad, actualy its pretty good considerig some crap I have seen in the past. Save your money! Dont out trick yourself. They probly wont come out with a LSD for the autostick. And dont bother with the Phantom-grip, it sucks.

You are not the first to mention that the transmission and drive train is actually too weak for the potential of the engine. I am confused as to how we handle this. Aftermarket CV/Axil, HD torque converter, what will work?

Port and polish gains on this setup would be MINIMAL! Whoever told you that it would spool quicker, and have better throttle response, was totally wrong! It has a turbo, remember? It will pump that air through almost anything. Maybe at 400 or 500 hp we should be looking at a different design manifold, but for now, keep it.

Yep, go after something that will really make a difference - like stickier tires. That's even better than a LSD.
