HELP!!!, o2 sensor problems!!!

ok so here's the deal, i upgraded my pt cruise to stage one a couple of weeks ago and i needed to do the tranny learn. so after doing the tranny learn i notice that the turbo was RED hot but found out later that it was ok for it to get that hot. a day later when i started it up the check engine light came on while driving down the road. the code was p0141 which i believe to be o2 sensor heater problem, the dealer told me it was the down stream sensor. they wanted 270 to replace , crazy price so i did it my self for like 25 dollars for the part. still the check engine light came on. so i decide to replace the upstream one. still the check engine light. i tryed reseting the computer and that just prolong the check engine light for about 3 days. anyone know what could be wrong. i am thinking a shorted wire or maybe a fuse. is there a fuse for the heater circuit for the o2 sensors. any help will be great. thanks again!!!!!

People have had trouble with aftermarket sensors causing the CEL to come on. Seems as if OEM sensors do not.

Agree with Hooligan. Had mine replaced with Chrysler parts as a preventative measure. They are expensive but no problems. Owners have reported problems with non-Chrysler parts.
