Hey People. Im trying to get the autometer triple gauge a pillar and was wondering what other two things are the most important to know besides boost??? What are the most common guages people have?

just a suggestion...
-BOOST
-Air/Fuel
-EGT
These are probably three of the most vital things to monitor on a car, especially with modded boost levels. A/F will tell you the ratio by indicating whether your running lean, stoich, or rich when increasing boost and is therefore VERY helpfull when running a boost controller.

I agree. Do a search of the GT portion of the site.
There's a lot of info on this subject.

Personally, I would pitch the egt gauge. Reason being with a turbo ride the egt's are artificially elevated due to the intake air being compressed and heated. They are nice to look at and watch but a boost and A/F gauge are the most important IMO.....
Hope to see you out there soon.

bob, getting access is the issue, but even then wiring is not all that hard. There are tons of links on this. Do a search in the performance section. They'll tell you what to wire it too etc.
Mine work well, now that I figured out what my EGT glitch was...

Ptturbine...When I installed my pillar gauges I could only get my hands on the two pod version. I inquired on no less than 15 forums specializing in turbo cars and spoke with 3 local tuners. It was unanamous. Boost,EGT and Fuel Pressure. The A/F was considered to be a lagging light show serving no real purpose.
I am not quite following you regarding the,"artificially elevated due to the intake air being compressed and heated". The EGT probe is intalled in the exhaust manifold as close to the head as possible. It is however very important to go with a none shielded EGT probe to get instantaneous response. If you check out the instructions on any Boost Controller you will see a note that says do not attempt to increase boost without an EGT.
JMHO As you know...I have those senior moments

Punch you use an electronic fuel pressure gauge not a mechanical. Is it a matter of being worthless or not being able to get it to work because of the fuel system? If you are running low fuel pressure or running lean A/F the EGT picks it up instantly with higher than normal exhaust gas temperatures for the given rpm. Forced induction tuners...tune to an EGT temp of 1450F-1550F.
