Default sprin mod?

I have a stock 05 turbo lite automatic and saw something about this spring mod I tried to do a search for it with no luck? Any info would help! I think I should only use this mod at the track?
Thanks Jaimie

Would not recommend this especially without a boost gauge.

Have to agree. Without knowing how much boost, you could have an exciting, but brief and costly, experience

And to jump on their band wagon, you need to monitor your A/F ratio or you can cannonball your engine!! Up your boost by holding the WGA open longer, draw down your fuel, run lean, then burn it all up... not good.

OOOOOrrrr are you talking about the spring mod that someone posted about cutting down their springs, as in suspension???

Ok so you have a clue. I like that!

The spring mod just holds more boost in the WGA, but with these cars you do need to keep track of your boost. And without a Stage1 upgrade or another aftermarket tuner you are going to throw overboost codes.. The Stock PCM likes the tune it has and will do what it has to, to keep it that way.

My mantra:
First gauges= so you know what is going on
then start tweaking suspension/brakes= so you can handle what is going happen
then start adding power= pull it all together.

These cars can be made into wonderful little sleeper cars, you can kick a lot of the smaller stuff out there and scare the bigger stuff where they think since they didn't kick your butt easy that something is wrong with their car-The best part of a modded PT..

Well I'm impressed!!! The Pt went pretty darn good and was somewhat consistent, it went 9.82 right out of the box, no tire spin great light. second t.t. went another .82. Im good to go, first round I dial a 9.86 (holding a couple just in case) hes dialed a quick 6.76, i tree the hell out of the guy and hold him off running a .87 out of it looks like it would have run another .82. We are gonna do just fine, I go on to win two more rounds before I went red 4th round by.008, oh well a good nite and im impressed as hell. All Ive done is the air box mod with a k&n drop filter..... thats it! I need to get that ttab pipe and then the stage 1. The air was great as I ran a personal best with my dragster 4.58 at 152, went to the semis with that, what a ball I had jumping in and out of the two cars!!!! Unfortunately only a few weeks of racing left so maybe I can pick up a win before then!!
Again thanks for the help guys and girls!!
Jaimie

Was this on an 1/8th mile? Cause without NOS and a huge tail wind, there ain't no <10 second PT's out there on the quarter...
