Bob, the Touring is less expensive. According to the Chrysler website the Base model starts life with a MSRP of $17,785, the Touring at $19,760, the Limited at $22,000 and the GT at $25,955. The 180 HP Turbo option is $1,280 on the Touring and $1,265 on the Limited.
http://www.chrysler.com/pt_cruiser/# will give you more info.

Boy,
If there ever was a time for the Chrysler guys to clarify something technical. I think that we all have wondered about the internals of the 180 hp turbo. (Knowing the differences between the N/A and the 215/220 hp Turbo motor are significant). |
|

|
The 180bhp Turbo (Special Value Turbo internally) is essentially the same as the GT, but calibrated to run on 87 Pump octane. You don't get the upgraded brakes, wheels or suspension - and you're stuck with an automatic trans. It's a good intermediate step from the base engine to the GT - if you like automatics.

If so it might be quite appealing to someone planning on upgrading brakes, wheels and interior. If the Stage 1 will not work, will GT engine management system provide a substantial HP Increase?

I have one, it is 30 days old today. Have a little over 600 miles on it. No problems or issues yet.
