Did you do a search on PT Crew to see if you can find it again? No one here has talked about an upgrade kit. The owners over at CREW are into performance more than they are here and are willing to put that money out to try and keep the tranny from going out because of the HP they are putting out.
If you don't beat it, and keep up with preventative maintenance, the tranny will stay together just fine.

For $1100 you could do a 5-speed swap into your car and completely do away with the 41TE, as it's a shit tranny anyway. Even fully built up, it won't handle more than 300whp on a daily basis.

Well that may be but I dont plan on going over 300whp, stage 1 only puts at what 200-210 whp, thats still a long ways to go, and shifting gears all the time is a big pain in the ass. Id consider a manual swap if and when I plan to go over that limit. I wonder if you can add one piece then later do another with the upgrade I.E LSD first then wait to do HUD assembly then torque converter or any order I choose

Oh yeah, that's why the 41TE went out in my '01 150 hp PT at 81k even with dealer preventive maintenance. The 41TE is a weak link. Most don't have a problem, but a lot do. It's the luck of the draw.
