Default Whistle Sound when warm starting

I am getting a weird whistle sound when I start the car when it is warm, and the sound can last from 1 sec to about 3 seconds. I think it might also make it sometimes when driving but I haven't checked that as yet.

It appears to be coming from somewhere around the intake, behind it, or nearer the right side engine bay.

This just started about 3 days ago, and I haven't been able to locate the exact area as it is so short. I plan on taking for a spin with windows down when gets a bit warmer out to see if it does it at all when cruising or slowing to idle.

Intake leak? Check all hoses. Does it idle okay? If idle is rough, could be intake gasket.

Yes, idle is rough at times. I have changed plugs/wires/IAT and a few other sensors.

I suspect I may have a leak somewhere, I hope not intake gasket but my luck it probably is.
I was going to get PCM reprogrammed for the idle/surge problems according to the TSB. I suppose I can spray water or ? to check for leaks?

Water is NOT good, use starting fluid or WD-40 to spray around the intake manifold.

Okay will do, thanks

Okay, I sprayed WD40 around intake when it was idling and didn't notice anything like a change in idle etc.
Where else should I spray?

Sorry been away a while. I did get PCm reprogrammed. Didn't drive the car for a few months. I haven't heard the Whsitling sound the past 2 days, but I still have rough idle, some surging and terrible Pinging with Chevron Premium

it's the lower intake gasket. Mine did the same thing, made a whistle noise. The gasket was blown out some on cylinder 4. I changed both the upper and lower gaskets for cheap (from the dealer they're cheap). I always got that code also.

Much appreciated TD04, I don't know if I will just replace gaskets or replace complete manifold with plastic. I know it is pricey here, but may be worth it.

If I decide to go plastic manifold route, what other parts would I require, as far as gaskets etc, as I would need to remove TB /EGR /Injectors etc, correct?

Going to go look for a how to on replacing manifold/gaskets
