Default GT Battery Cover

Need info on installing battery cover for GT Turbo. What changes were required to battery tie down and post clamps? How did you secure it in place?

Not sure I know what you are talking about. Mine has no battery cover. Are you trying to add one somehow?

This is the least expensive battery cover I can find. It is from gotmypt.com/ and it only costs $50. I'd like a chome cover but they are very spendy. Does anyone have this cover? If so, how do you like it?

The battery bracket that holds down the battery on the GT is raised versus flat on all others. I bought a battery cover from GOTMYPT and because of the raised bracket it didn't fit. They suggested getting a flat hold down bracket from an auto parts store and then their cover should go on without any problems. Only problem is, I haven't gone to the auto parts store yet[:I]

Maybe this weekend I'll go to the auto store and finally get this mod completed. Maybe.

This is just one more case where the parts have to catch up with the times. I want a part that is made for the GT without having to modify my car for the part. Anyone else agree?

I didn't buy it. If it won't fit the GT, I don't want it. I'll also wait to see what it takes to install on the GT.

I have tried everything possible for covering the battery. Even purchased a 2002 battery lower tray and hold down clamp-... Nothing fits the battery and hold down is to high... even ground dow the hold down filler on tio of the battery....But there is a battery cover available it is plastic and is painted to match your car... It slikdes between the battery and insulation blanket... Contact Bill seat airbillster@comcaszt.net... for more info

Go to Cowtowncruisers.com, click on the PT crew tab, and Email Gary Owen, he makes some of the coolest batt. covers.
