Default My Old Girl!

Hello Again,

It's been quite a while since I've posted. I've kind of come out of retirement and been pretty busy with the new/old job. However, I'm planning a big trip this summer and want to do what's best for my Cruiser. I have a 2003 GT with Stage One and an Autostick. I've truly kept her on a pedestal for the past few years. I only have 28K and have trying my best to keep her out of Wisconsin's crappy winter roads. Aside from a little "fog" on the headlight lens, she looks pretty good and runs great as of now. This summer I plan on driving from Wisconsin to San Diego, then to Oregon and then back home. Should be about 5500 miles altogether. What should I do to prepare for the trip? Any suggestions. I haven't done the transmission yet. By the time I leave, I should be at about 30K. I would appreciate any tips or suggestions. Thanks!

Check your spare and know where the jack and tools are and how to use them. Definitely carry a cell phone (with car charger) and GPS so you know exactly where you are. Do an oil change right before you leave and use good oil and filter so you can do the whole trip without a change. Check all the fluids and give all the hose clamps and vacuum lines a once-over for tightness.

Have a great trip.
