Default no cold air

my wifes 2006 turbo convertable wont blow any cold air from the a/c.
i put the gauges on,& it says i have plenty of refrigderant,& i can hear the compressor kicking in,& the low side port tube gets icy cold.
however,when i put the a/c on max,it barely,barely blows any cold air.
any suggestions?
thank you.

I guess I'll ask the silly question. When you turn on the heat does it blow an acceptable volume of air? If not, the problem would be your blower. If that isn't your problem, then I have no idea.

When everything is icy cold and you can't feel any air blowing inside, you "might" have a bad recycling switch. It's on top of the accumulator near the firewall. If the switch is bad and doesn't turn the compressor on and off and things actually freeze up. It happened to mine. The recycling switch can be changed over to a new one without hardly loosing any R134.

Can you hear the compressor cycling on and off ??

Well, that was my idea sine it happened to mine. If someone else here on the forum doesn't jump in here you might have to take it to a professional A/C shop for diagnosis.
