hey everyone, i just noticed that my stock tire has an air bulge in the side wall. It's the passenger front tire, and it's about the size of a ping-pong ball. Now i've had a few cars, and i've only had my GT since last April, this can't be normal. When i took it to my dealer they said it was an issue to be taken up with Goodyear...which mean i can go screw myself basically. Any one else have this problem yet??

You gotta be kidding. Your dealer sounds like a real winner.[}
] The tires came on your car which they sold you. THEY should take it up with Goodyear after THEY give you a new tire. UNBELIEVABLE!!![xx(] |

Dealer sounds like an @ss.. just wanted to give you my experience regarding the replacement of the stock wheel. I blew my tire when I hit a crator in the road on Wed. It took 4 hours for me to locate 1 freaking goodyear eagle RSA tire that could be installed the same day and i had to drive 50 miles to get it. All of the major tire companies said they would have to order it. I even called a local goodyear shop in MA, no luck.
I guess the tire size is kind of rare.. |

COP TZER,
I am sure you know this: replace the tire immediately! It's a safety issue now. In your owners manual packet, you will see a Goodyear warranty. Tires are the only thing that Chrysler will not warranty, hence the Goodyear warranty pamphlet. If you do not have a copy, I will scan it and send it to you. I would agree that the dealer SHOULD replace it, as long as you did not cause the problem (curb ding, pothole, etc.). If not, a Goodyear Tire center or a Goodyear re-seller should be able to help you out (Most Chrysler dealers are Goodyear re-sellers... wtf?) Let me know if you need help, Scott

It may sound stupid, but any tires on new cars are covered by the tire manufacturer. You should have received the tire warranty certificate along with your owners manual. Just take it to a Goodyear Tire store and have them replace it. Plenty of Goodyear complaints. Belt separations, cupping, vibration, etc. Read these threads (they include Goodyear's phone numbers, so you might get them replaced for free or be offered an upgrade at a minimal cost):

I have never never had any luck for GOOD 4 A YEARS, mainly cause they are NOT good for a year. Yank the hole lot off and get some real tires. Hey Cop,how long did the RSA's last on you Dak. R/T? I had trouble with mine early on and when I went to replace them the tire shop said, "what the hell are you doing with these on this truck, these are for cars not trucks".

Tires, batteries, belts, brake pads and clutch disks are consumables, I am surprised that DC covers any of these. But we all did receive a Goodyear warranty for those useless tires DC put on the car. Take the issue up with Goodyear.
