The Pronto, all the way. They maybe could clean up the California Cruiser, but not the ugly thing above. Seems ever since the German bunch took over, the concepts are getting uglier.

Maybe too much beer or wine.

Im 32, I still like the Pronto..and it Does NOT look ricey at all. The GT concept above is hodge podge, crap out of the parts bin...cause they know they can sell a few of them.

Pronto, Yeah Baby!!!! 3.5 litre or Supercharged?
Rear wheel drive or front wheel drive?
It looks like a cross between a PT and a Prowler.
By ALL MEANS--MAKE IT!!!! H.

The Pronto has been one of my favorite cars for the very reason the coupe concept fails. The pronto is a Whole Concept, the lines flow, there is proportion and emphasis (all those beautiful things that stir auto lovers souls).
The coupe concept, much like the convertible are based on the reality that only so many body panels will ever get modified and the end comes out looking like frankenstein's monster. Assembly cost over design (and function).Too bad they couldn't keep the PT's original designer to help with broadening the line.

Too bad.

Like the new Viper, from a distance it looks like a red vette now, not ugly, but it has lost it's flair.

That wonderful magic group of design folks, too american, too flashy, too attention stealing for der parent company, gone now to other companies and other projects.

Kirby,

This time we see eye to eye. This coupe concept just doesn't cut it. I, too, know that DCX will not produce the Pronto. That is our loss, for I would have hocked my b_lls to have one!

If I could win the Lottery, I would have a Pronto, even if I had to have one custom built!

Go here and click on the small images to get REALLY BIG PICS of this car.

http://decoma.quell.com/chrysler_pt_coupe.html

There are some things I like about it and MANY things I don't like. Maybe the best will make it into production.

Maybe if it was a hatch back, but that rear deck really has no function. And what can be put in that trunk, a tooth brush, a change of undies and a pack of ru---rs. Well, you get the idea.
