Well .. I guess thats why we call them PT's Personnal Transportation. and why we paint and decorate tailgates. The design is for the builder's imagination but the workmanship in design and putting together a car like this without using someone's bolt on plastic is to be admired. .. It still is a beautiful vehicle.... Oh it still goes fast too...

I am not disputing the workmanship as I am sure it is top notch. It just doesn't look anything at all like a PT Cruiser. The back end is way out of proportion (for my taste) and the front looks more like an old Nash. The front fender flairs are gone completely and only the hood remotely resembles a PT. This just doesn't pass for any version of the PT's graceful lines that we all fell in love with in the first place.

While the Pronto is not nearly as practical as the production PT, I would venture a guess that DCX would have sold thousands more had it come to actual production. It is far more elegant and pleasing to the eye and appeals to a wider demographic than either the PT or the Dodge SRT-4. It would have filled both niches quite nicely. Style and performance. I still want one!

The proportions are totally off! The built version of the idea is EXACTLY what one would expect from the Cohen Group.

The good news is...

NO ONE will EVER mistake it for a PT[:I][:I]
