I saw these on a GT at the Garlit's show in Ocala this past weekend, which no-one came too that I knew! :P This woman was from Tampa and some guy took OE Corvette sidepipes and made them functional.The sound was about as it is now on the stock GT, but she said he added a lot of baffles.They're attached right behind the turbo from the looks of it. The length seems to be just right for the car, and I was thinking maybe the same thing but either painted to match or powder coated.

Nice, but these attached at the front of the pipe and the exhaust ran the full length.

Yeh, dug out some old (69?) side pipes I had in the loft at my sisters place the other day, mocked them against the PT, looked good, what to do, what to do.

I've been looking at the functional sidepipes, too, but the one thing that keeps the red lights blinking is the fact the the Cruisers have one feature that the old 'Vettes didn't...REAR DOORS!!!
I'd HATE to have to get in or out of the back seat with a blistering-hot exhaust dump right at my ankles... ![]() Just my .02 But they LOOK incredible!! [?]

The ones shown by MX-5 are 90% fake, but their main advantage is that they won't burn you and there's no heat rising up to the car's windows.

Not only that, you might actually loose power w/ them as well because of the extra bends.
