the bad and the good

i changed my exhaust system yesterday. my car is so low to the ground the guys had to lift up on my front fenders to get it off the lift. now i noticed that the front left fender has a small crease in it. i can't complain bc i got a custom 500.00 exhaust job for a favor but did not figure in the fender damage.

i hope i can get the paintless dent remover guy to fix it next week.

but on the good side my new exhaust is awsome, i put a pteaser reto roll pan on. now my exhaust is 3" from the 02 housing to the mid point of the car and the it goes to 2 1/2" tail pipe through a vortex dual outlet muffler with 4" polished stainless dual tips.

How does it run? When I had my 2.5" exhaust installed it was like I picked up another 5-7 ponies. The car pulls hard all the way up to 100, (I get chicken at a 100mph) and seems like it can go faster. As far as lifts. The place where I had my work done had 2 inch wood blocks already made for me. The dropped front can be a pain sometimes.

We put wooden blocks as well to get my GT on the lift. I had to let go going back down fast so I wouldnt tear off the front end. Guy said I did it perfectly. Most guys somehow do it incorrectly and tear off their front clip.

$500 isnt too bad for custom duals, I suppose. Esp w/ the cost of the muffler. Im sure it sounds/runs nice. [8)]

hey neon i don't know how to do that kind of stuff. sorry i will tell you this it is LOUD AS HELL NOW!!! but i feel alot more power and i don't understand this when i rev it up it acts like it doesn't have a rev limiter. before the engine would cut in and out and now it doesn't do that anymore

What do you mean, in park/neutral you can rev past 4K RPM, or you can go past the redline moving?

You can make an audio track w/ a digital camcorder.

I have the PTz roll pan also. put I have the BTG exhaust, not sure of the diameter of the pipes but I love how it sounds and performs. I had to have some welding done due to the fact the pipes did not line up even on the roll pan. now its fine. Gary
