Default Whistle Noise! 03 GT PT

Hi everyone! New to the forum and I thought I would ask a question before I buy. It makes a whistling noise all the time when I accelerate and turning or reving. I thought it would be just the Turbo because it is automatic and when u give gas the turbo would automatically turn on. I've read a couple of threads and some of the members have been saying leaks or a gasket problem. I'm curious if this is some serious problem i should be concerned about? It has only 77,000 kms on it! Any advice would be appreciated! thank you for your time!

in the engine bay does it have the stock airbox system? or does it have a short ram intake? the whistle noise with an open filter element is very common. if it has the factory system, not so much.

you say it whistles when it turns? or when you turn the wheel? either of these have NOTHING to do with the turbo but can be bad news.

is this an individual or a dealer? big or small?

Thanks for the response! The turning is when im proceeding to make a turn its whislting. Nothing loud though! I had the window rolled down and heard it. When im at a stop or neutral, i cant hear it. What is the worse case senerio of the problem it could be or am I just being picky! I work for Chysler Plant in Brampton, Ontario Canada and I never heard of all of these complaints of the turbo! Not familar with the engine, so I expected it would be the turbo until i joined the forum and heard all the horror stories! Appreciate your reply!

Probably a dumb question but, Is the sound coming from under the hood or your speakers? Sometimes add-on stereos need filters added to the powerwire.

How is the idle, maybe the intake gasket between the upper and lower manifold.
On the 03's they fail and require a new gasket. I dont remember if mine whistled or not, Easy job and cheap.

Another one if geting a chirping sound they had to tweak the pulley on the PS, would get a chirp sound

Thanks for the info! Kinda of givin me what i need to look for!

I do build the challengers, 300 and the charger! They all come down the same line that I work on. My job is to connect the Intermediate shaft and secure it. There is a few other little things I do but that is my main job!

What is an intermediate shaft on the LX cars, is that part of the drive shaft?
