3BAR...does this mean that the discussion of getting the EO# has been shelved permanently?

I am disapointed that the OBDI and OBDII will not be met. California is close to requiring all autos to convert to the OBD telemetry system. This could lock us out of any MP kits.
I already have the telemetry system in place, no way out.

You could be right ote.

I am afraid that if California and Mopar Performance don't begin to see eye to eye, we will be relegated to mods like the "California Criuser Special" (lots of custom exterior, no performance improvements).

They assume that smog in Minneapolis is a good thing, because it kills the mosquitos, right?

I have a aftermkt turbo and Stockum mtr also Crane ing . I have no problem getting warranty work done on my car . That seems to be a problem from dealer to dealer. This may have been answered but I dont follow the turbo forums often because I dont have a GT . Has the issue about warranty of stage 1 or 2 been answered. Is dc warranting the complete car after these upgrades are done ? thanks in advance

Hey phatdad! Glad you are here. The answer varies depending on who you talk to, but for the most part... DC says the Stage kits aren't warranted, neither is any part of your car that breaks as a result of the Kits. Some dealers are cool about it, most aren't.

There's lots of loooooooooooong threads in here about it, just do a Search.

Like I said on another thread, OBDI will pass fine with the Staged kits. OBDII might, depending on what they check. OBDII requires that anything that fails (or is operating out of specification) in the emissions system light a MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light). This entails roughly 1,400 things being checked constantly (like checking if your gas cap is tight or whether your thermostat is functioning). In fact, OBDII monitors (as they are called) account for 80% of the calculation overhead in the engine controller and 50% of the code (memory space).

So far, I've only seen one OBDII thing checked during an emissions inspection that the Staged kits might not pass based on Kirby's spy radio thingy. Again I stress might. Also, pretty much guarantee exhaust sniffer will pass fine - unless you go and remove the catalyst or something silly.

Mopar knows that California is worth big bucks. They are marketing all the Mopar Performance goodies this coming weekend in Pomona at the Block Party. Maybe I'll be able to answer this question conclusively by then....

In Minneapolis last year a friend and I had just finished a burger & beer(Hooters in THE mall)and while walking back to our car heard some noise around the corner, as we approached it became evident that it was two of the largest mosquitos I have ever seen. They appeared to be watching two shoppers waddling through the parking lot, and one said to the other "Shall we eat them here, or take them home to the kids?".
