Default 2003 GT Turbo - coolant fan spins too fast

I have a 2003 GT Turbo and recently the fan statred spinning so fast I could hear it over the radio and in slow traffic it would start to over heat. I took it to the shop and was advised that the coolant control module/fan was bad and they replaced it. I did not drive the car all weekend long and when I drove to work this morning I could hear the fan spinning so fast that I could hear it again over the radio - although it did not threaten to over heat. I am taking it back to the shop as I heve never heard the fan do this in the almost 8 years I have had the car. Any ideas? Also - a lot of the time I start the car, the oil warning lamp stays on and if I turn off the car and re-start - the oil warninglamp goes off....what gives? I have less than 76K miles and had a higher expectation of quality.....any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Are you saying that they replaced the temp sensor or they fan? Do you notice any gurgling sound? Any loss of coolant anywhere? You could just have a bad radiator cap or a bad thermostat.
