Default Tire Separation

Has any one else had trouble with the Goodyear RSA? This week end the Cruiser started shake. The tread was pulling away from the tire. A Goodyear dealer first quoted me 96.00 to replace it, but after calling the Goodyear directly they agreed to replace it for free. The car has less than 8000 mile on it. Is this a common problem, should I be concerned about the other 3 tires.

I have not seen any sign of it yet, over 20,000 KLM's on my GT. Thanks for the info, I will have a closer look.

This topic reminds me of the old Firestone 721's. 7 wrapped around 2, wrapped around 1. Then all those SOB's would seperate at once![xx(]

Belt separation isn't limited to Goodyear tires. I've had it happen on my Michelins (on another car). If all your tires came from the same batch, I would monitor them carefully or ask Goodyear to replace all the tires.

I had it happen with Pirellis. All 4 went over time. Like Sci-Fi said, there are bad batches.
Have them check all 4 to see if they're same batch.

RSA's are garbage! Spidy and i both had probs with ours since day one. He had ALL 4 of his replaced for free and next week, SAME ****! Goodyear has always been trash for street tires.
Sorry, but that's my experience anyway.
I have Falken azenis on now and they are AWESOME!
