Just got back from the dealer with my new Inferno Red Turbo GT replacement vehicle. All in all my dealer and Chrysler took very good care of things for me. No complaints with the process. Now I get to start customizing all over again, FUN! SEE YA'LL ON THE ROAD.

What ended up being wrong with your cruiser? Why did they replace it?

The problem was / is electrical. I had them check recall notice C30 and sure enough there was corrosion in harness connectors to the PCM. Bad connector seals. At that time they just replaced the PCM and not the wire harness, recall stated to replace harness and PCM if corrosion was found. The car is still being evaluated and not yet repaired. congrats!! i had an electric blue gt car was in shop for almost 45 days car was always going into limp mode replaced both wiring harness, pcm, and a number of the sensors never got it fixed so they also gave me a new car but never knew what was wrong with the car ??

Received Customer Satisfaction Notice From DC #C30 November 24, 2003:

2003 & 2004 PT Cruisers and various other DC models.

The problem is....
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) electrical connector seals on your vehicle may be out of place. This could allow water to enter the PCM. Water and resulting corrosion inside of the connector can cause various electrical and drivability concerns.

What DC and your dealer will do....
DC will repair your vehicle free of charge (parts and labor). To do this, your dealer will inspect the PCM electrical connector seals and repair any that are found to be out of place. If a connector is corroded, the PCM and affected wire harness will be replaced.
