Default Where to get proof

Where can I get proof of the TSB#? Would love to take it to dealer to shove it in their face. Or is there a website i can ask them to pull up in front of me to show me. Dont like my dealer. They told me that the TSB was mumbo jumbo.

I simply called the service department and gave them the TSB. They called my back in 15 minutes to tell me that the PCM was on order and I could bring my car in the following week for the install.

Here is the TSB info.

TSB# 18-029-03
Date: August 8, 2003

SUBJECT: Slight Engine Mis-Fire Above 5200 rpm

OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves replacing the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

MODELS: 2003 (PT) Chrysler PT Cruiser

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built prior to January 22, 2003 (MDH0122xx) equipped with a 2.4L Turbo engine and manual transmission or prior to March 18, 2003 (MDH 0318xx) for vehicles equipped with a 2.4L Turbo engine and automatic transmission.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION: Vehicle operator may describe a random or slight engine mis-fire when operating vehicle above 5200 rpm. There will be no DTC logged in the PCM. If there are DTC’s present additional diagnosis should be done to determine the problem. This condition is caused by a internal hardware issue in the PCM.

I have a friend that works in the service department at my dealer. I'll call him on Friday and find out where he found the TSB. Maybe that will help you. I'll post after I get an answer from him.

I had mentioned this problem to my dealership mech. and he went to the powers that be and within one day, my new card was in. On the down side, as of 2:30 pm on Thursday afternoon, I don't have a car to put it in !! A guy ran a red light at one of our worst intersections in our city and hit the van beside me and slammed it into us. Mr. red light then spun up onto its nose and then landed over on its roof. He seemed to be ok ( lucky ), the lady in the van has some neck injuries and my son and I are a bit bruised and rattled, but ok. The front fender was pushed in to the front wheel and the suspension was all bent, so who knows right now how severe the damage is. I had ordered the High Output badges from TThrift ( great guy ) and as previously stated, I now don't have a car to put them on!! I am sad. Now, on the positve, any ideas out there for two toning the beast. It is bright silver and I am open for ideas. I'm not sure about the Dream 3 colors.

I had problems initially too because there are dashes in the TSB#. If you do not have the dashes in the correct place it will not return a valid TSB. Make sure when you give the service guy the number you put the dashes in.
