Default Buying A GT Already Modded??

I have been researching GT turbos for about a month now. My budget is alot tighter than it used to be...I originally planned on buying an 03 to 05 GT ATX and adding a stage 1 and a few other goodies to it...Now that I have found the ATXs shortcomings I think a stick is the way to go...I have seen some really great deals on some pretty heavily modded GTs, and am thinking it will be easier and cheaper to buy one that someone has already built up...The returns on mods is horrible in resale unfortunatley...My budget will be 6 to 8K, maybe a tad more if the right car comes up...May be able to find an ATX that has been bulletproofed! What are your thoughts on this? Al

If you check the car over real good and dont find any serious problems I say go for it.It's a lot cheaper than buying a stock car and then modifying it.

No such thing as bulletproof.

I know the car. It has all the right mods and they are correctly installed. If I was in the market for a performance PT you wouldn't be getting this opportunity to buy it. It would be sitting in my driveway!

I wouldn't recommend buying a modded one personally. Someone may say they know the car and its good, but you dont necessarily know that, and your the one forking up the money. Not shooting their opinion down, but its simple economics, never trust anyone else when its your money. Youll get burned
