GT 5-speed better than SRT 5 -speed?

I hope you don't mean that our GT Getrag can only stand 245 ft-lb of torque. With Stage 2 kit at 280 ft-lb., I hope GT Getrag can handle it no problem.
The 245 ft-lb is for infinite life. Most transmissions pop when you put three times the stock output through them. At twice stock they tend to last a season of drag racing. At 20% over stock it should be be good for 100,000+ miles - depending how often you use that 280 ft-lb. That's the down-side of upgrades - durability goes down.

the 2-3 shift does suck. a couple of races lost cuz of it

Where do you get the Booger bushings? I've almost gotten in trouble a couple of times because of that lousy upshift. It's good to know it isn't just my incompetence contributing! -Nate

I just want to remind you, that if you can wait just awhile longer the Hurst Shifters for the PT's will be available from Mopar. There is a link to the New Catalog in this forum.

What makes a Hurst shifter better? I've never heard the explanation. Will it solve the 2-3 upshift problem? Can I put my 8-Ball on it? I'm just a questionbox today. -Nate
