Default Lowered my 05 pt gt convirtable!!!

I must say it was a very very easy job, took us aprox 45 to do , 10 in the rear and 30 min on the front. We had a wall mount strut tool which made 10 min to get the strut out and remove the old string and put in the new one. Now they were only suppose to only be a 1.4 inch drop but as you can see from the pics its a lil bigger drop then that.

Before:

After:

The ride is a lil bumpy bot not nearly as bad as some of the ricers ive had...LOL

Looks real good.Never heard of anybody doing the fronts that fast. That does look like a lot more than 1.4 inches.Your springs were new right?

no they had 6k miles on em... oh if you have a strut tool that will hold the strut, compress the springs and all you have to do it bust the main bolt loose its that quick.

One step at a time Chromenut, I have to replace bearings now , I had money for the struts but Im gonna have to dump $450 in getting the bearings replaced. I didnt know they were going bad until we lowered it. I can get all the parts for $50.00 and a place will remove and press the new ones in for 20bucks but i need a step by step guide on getting the hubs off. BTW Chrome your pt is sexy...LOL

Nice, both of yours!

You'll definitely feel the difference after you install aftermarket shocks/struts. I didn't do so when I installed the Eibach's but it was definitely mandatory for the Candy's, lol!

Ditto 808! I really do like my tokicos and firmly believe that for an '06 GT vert, I found the perfect formula for improved handling, ride stance, and overall performance.

H&R Sport Springs, Tokico Blue's, and Progress sways on the back plus the Freedom Designs tower brace in the front. Combine that with a slightly larger/wider wheel and big tires, and oh my what a ride!

Hey their bucksfan1976,

Most definitely looking good for sure! I am always a sucker for a dropped PT.

And 808,

LOL, yeah I can see where some aftermarket shocks and struts might help out a bit on my springs. That thing still looks good though sitting at just the right stance!

Thanks guys! It seems that when you start playing with the suspension, the mod bug urges you to want more and more, lol. Aftermarket shocks and struts are a must, and I would like to add a little more handling like what you did Chromenut.

And I'm still wondering what I'm going to do about the front, Candyman. Not quite as low as yours was.
