Sakigt, if you are running 15 lbs of boost, and went to pass someone with going W.O.T. then you will get that burp and your eng lite will came on, p1188 over boost, at 1/2 throdle, before you go to the dealer disconnect you batt for 2min. this will reset everything and no eng lights will show up on the dealer's computer check of you car.when you get your car back back . disconnect the little hose just before the throdle body ( 1/8 black pastlic hose next the elect conn. on the inlet 2 1/2 hose going into the throdle body, you will fool the computer in to thinking you only have 10 lbs of boost. No more light, yet you may still get one if you r in mid range and increass speed at 1/2 throdle and hold that for 10 to 20 seconds, example 30mph and want to pass , you ease up to 35 then 40 then 45 you will get a eng light or burp or both best thing to do is floor it then let off when you get half way pass the other car, your speed will carrier you the rest of the way,.

forgot even if you don't have a miss tell them you do as the new pcm hav higher rpm, lower iddle rpm and better mpg and the car in general runs stronger and better.

Burp is a good description - almost like a one second kill switch on mine. Got mine replaced at a 5* dealer late on a Friday and they put in a check valve per TSB 08-021-02 on rear window squirter (drips). Shifts (auto) are tighter - not enough time for MPG check. Do remind to program pinion; they forgot but let me back in after closing and it took only a couple of minutes.

Had my PCM replaced this week. To be completely honest
my car doesn't have the power it had before. I noticed a drop in boost.I've always got anywhere between 12-14 pounds, now it's 10 to 11. Big difference. Have no idea why. Sorry now that I had it changed,as long as I kept my plugs gapped tighter I had no problem. Thought I'd go for it since so many of you said it made a difference.

GTPT I had mine done and took it for a test drive ( speedo did not work) AND NO POWER, the car was ver sluggest to it back for the next hour they triet to make it right, then one of the guys came buy and said you need to flash it with the California flash. now it is G_R_E_A_T boost is at 12 to 13 peak, and the mpg is up so maybe find out if they used the correct flash and the p/n of the new pcu. hope this helps.
