Default 03 2.4L turbo Fan Assembly Help

A new fan assembly part was ordered via web which indicated it would fit on 03 2.4L Turbo engine. The part # is 5127726AA. Now for the question - the 03 part manual indicates the part should be #05096197AA. Does anyone know if the part received will fit an 03? I've found other sites which also indicate the 512.... part would fit an 03 - 05 w/turbo engine. Advice is needed quickly - car will be repaired tomorrow AM.

I've got the parts catalogs for '01 thru '08 and this part number, 05127726AA, shows up in the '04 & '05 models only. I do see the part number you mentioned in the '03 catalog. They look the same to me, and both fit the same engines, but I couldn't tell you if they were a perfect match or not.

So I searched the internet and found both part numbers. Checked a few overseas suppliers and none had the '03 number, but everyone had the 7726AA number. Searched ebay and did find the '03 fan unit for sale, quite expensive but not sure what you got quoted. Here it is listed at $335 plus $25 shipping.

If you look up the '04 part number on ebay, you find one for less than half that price, here it is. Wow, big difference in cost. $134 + $32 shipping. To me they look identical, but I'm in an '06 so don't take me as the expert on this!!!

Maybe someone else can chime in if that '04 part fits or not. Looks like that '03 fan is hard to find.

That's exactly what I had found earlier. The part I purchased I found for $104 + shipping. It's certainly better than the price quoted by dealers of - I hope you are sitting down for this one - $800+ and that didn't include labor. I'll just hope the part works.

Do you have the fan? Here is one from my 2003 GT 5 spd, June 2003 Build date.
I removed it when I changed the radiator

The motor is a Bosh made in Germany QBA 12 3 137 229 007; another #
0303172004

The assembly is Bosh made in France 1 137 228 108

Does the connector look similiar??

Please let us know if you have no issues.

Also is your 2003 a 5 spd?

Called the original company - was somewhat given a song and dance - but they will be receiving the part back. Purchased the fan assembly - this time the correct one - and now have it in hand. It will be installed this week. It is exactly like the pics you supplied. PT is an automatic. Thanks for those that responded.

Go online, but with a good company.

The 03 PT non turbo uses a $307 retail cost fan, the turbo a $795 retail cost fan assembly. Available online for about $600.

No

I had the assembly, fan/shroud/connector out while changed the radiator, threw in a starter, crank senso and did all the hoses.

I wrote down the numbers on the fan for future reference and posted them here to help anyone out.
