Default How to remove oil pan -ASAP-

Need help ASAP.

Car's been down for too long doing the intake manifold swap. Long story short, the dipstick tube broke off at the base into the oil pan. The broke part is still at the entrance, it's not within the oil pan itself.

Anyway I figured I'd remove the oil pan and tap it up and out from underneath. How do I remove the oil pan to do this?

I'd normally do a search but google provided nothing. Hoping someone here could with a proper link or something.

Thread tap / bolt in and pull out?

Oil pans are usually EZ to remove, although never done on this vehicle.
They have a collar?
and there's an o-ring or two for filter passages, PS hose runs under.
See if someone has an FSM, it's say step-by-step.

19 bolts?....+ATF4?

I'm trying to remove the OIL pan, not replace my transmission fluid.

The end of the dipstick broke where it enters the oil pan. I can't get it out. I'll see if someone can help me with that uptown....though I might need a walk through of whats needed for what you suggested.

I've never done this, but, wouldn't it be WAY easier to just pull the oil dip stick tube? I mean the dip stick should be just sitting there??

His tube broke off where it is pressed into the block, he wants to remove the pan so he can drive the broken stub of the tube out from below. I assume the tube is broken flush with the block.

If he has a large diameter easy out maybe he could try to get it out with that.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but I've got it plugged in the meantime.

Like VNT said, the dipstick tube broke off flush with the block. I checked out the easy out and looks promising (few locals suggested that) but it won't be awhile until I do that. One of the nuts spins freely in my upper intake manifold so I can't unbolt it. Cause of this, I have no room to work with at all.

Well, before I had installed the manifold I plugged up the dipstick tube hole pretty well. Stressed tested it for a good hour last night and not a single drop of oil spilled out. Did some pulls for datalogging on a long empty road, no oil spilling at all.
