Wow I have the same problem. Must be a warranty issue

Got the same problem, it got worst after the installation of the Stage 1 upgrade. I thought that the addition of a CAI would help, but it's worst yet. Could it be the happening because of "blow by?"

Could it be you are spinning the tires more often with the added HP?

I think adding S1 and the Mopar BOV causes the rubber in the tires to harden and have less grip especially in the first two gears. I've also noticed reduced traction on the street and reduced ET's at the track. I'm going to make an appointment to have my local dealer replace my front tires with drag-slicks...under warranty

Have just about 2000 miles on mine now - purchased early August...

Clutch failed ("rivet came loose"), so I had the clutch assembly including flywheel replaced under waranty about a month ago. Took two days...
While it was there, I got the PCM replaced under the well talked about high RPM miss TSB.

Still has a slightly rough idle when hot... Maybe wires?

Planning for Stage1 or Stage2 next year...

Just crossed over 15,000 miles since the end of March 2003. Only problem I've had so far is that I needed a new f-ing transmission after 11,000 miles!!! They covered it under warranty, but after letting it sit for a few days for a DC rep to come and inspect it. They were arguing that the turbo timer I had installed had something to do with the tranny going out. What a bunch of CRAP!

Since that, though, no problems.

Got just over 5,100 miles since Feb. Had it in the dealer's shop for a power steering belt tensioner and the TSB PCM replacement, both under warranty.

Aloha,
Mark

yobiebs...the problems that you experienced with your tranny may have been as a result of all the other add-ons that you have enhanced your Cruiser with. The extra weight of all of the additional items could have caused undo wear and tear. But maybe it was specifically the new head unit and better speakers causing resonance in your car that is being transferred to the transmission.

As for me, 3,000 miles yesterday. Purchased car in early October. The majority of miles are from picking up my daughter from college every other weekend and taking her back (approx. 520 miles every other weekend). Due for an oil change next week. Only problem so far is that the gear shift knob fell off!

AZP, you really think that just the resonance could cause a total tranny lock? When they had it at the dealer, they said that all the transmission fluid was burt and charred. That's an interesting observation. When I had polled others about this problem when it was happening, that hadn't been brought up at all....

Also, at the time, I hadn't installed the springs yet, which I would think could possibly contribute...
