Question Knocking Sensor

How often does a GT PT Cruiser Owner needs to change the knock sensor, I've been searching in the forum and my pdf user manual and guide and I found that they tend to fail some times... But why and when?

Daniel

Oh yes sorry heheh... I was trying to ask if I would hear some knoking, because I have full tune up my car and it runs great, no boost leaks or anything... but when Im in 4th and get to a climb I hear just a little of knocking, and I was wondering if its tarting to fail or maybe my timing belt its a little bad? it only has 26,133 miles.

Sorry about not be clear about my case

Daniel

When your knock sensor goes bad it will throw a code and the CEL will come on.

Yes, and yes, it can be caused by crappy gas.

.040 is good gap for the NA engine.

Yes, Check engine light... My CEL comes on every 8-10 days, but car runs GREAT... Have the sensor ready to replace.. But it's in a jacked up spot, hard to reach!
