Just how loud is a BOV (blow off valve)?
Also, I know it makes no difference on a run, but wouldn't a BOV help acceleration in traffic when you are constantly slowing down and speeding up again (since, with the BOV, the turbo doesn't slow down nearly as much when you take your foot off the gas)? Can anyone point me to an audio clip of a BOV in action on a PT GT? Thanks in advance! Oh, BTW I got my Magnaflow cat-back exhaust. It's gettin installed the week after Christmas. ![]() [8)][8)] |

How loud a BOV is depends a lot on the style of the BOV...
-Turbo XS RFL-H tends to be the loudest one i've heard, the type-H is a quieter... -HKS/Greddy tend to be a little quieter than the turbo XS -Mopar is the next loudest...and the cheapest b/c it is essentially just a plate -Turbosmart is the least loudest Each BOV also has a very different sound to it...
